Joanna's Influences

Before asking Joanna directly, who were her biggest influences, we looked at her 'friends' on myspcace and followers of her Twitter. This will give us an indication of who likes her music and who she gets her inspiration from.

Looking at some artists on her myspace friends page, we noticed a few could potentially be her inspiration as they are musicians who are renowned for showing their musical abilities using the strong connection of artist and instrument throughout their representation in the media.

However we noticed that we didn't know many of the artists that were featured on her friends page. Most of them apeared to be unsigned, which indicates that the music world is split into two differnet fields. the signed and the unsigned. Alot of bands have been posting on her wall showing interest in her music and wanting her to listen to their new material. Her myspace page gives us a good insight into how she trys to promote her music and who she likes to promote her music to.
