Different genres

Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip are a hip-hop duo that combine electronic beats with sung, spoken, and rapped lyrics. There style of music is very unique, and aren't widely known. I (Katrina) thought it would be interesting to explore videos that are also produced on a low budget like ours will be, to get a sense of what we can realistically accomplish. The video directed by David Fishel is really inspirational. The creativity and thought gone behind it is amazing.

This video or chase and status- letyou go is thought provoking. The lyrics and feel of the song really fit with an unusual idea for a dance song video.

Both of these videos have been made for Lady Gaga. The top one, Just Dance, was her first ever video. It is quite simple compared to newer videos i.e ALEJANDRO which is a very high budget and flamboyant production. Although we can't take much influence from these clips, we like the completely 'out there' ideas and the clever use of camera angles, and how it was composed in the post-production. These videos are pointed towards our age group.

This song by Kelly Rowland has a very powerful video with a strong narrative behind it. The lyrics match the concept of the video really well. Even though the genre of the music is different to what were using we all agreed the concept was good and they portrayed it really well.
