Our inspirational videos

James Blake- Limit to your love

This video uses similar style genre music to which we would like to use in our production; acoustic. The video includes the band members riding on scooters and enjoying life in the sun. The way it's shot i.e mis en scene, creates a sense of warmth and free spirit.

We like the style of the video, although it was released in 1995. Videos like this will never date. We like the concept of it being in black and white, its an effect we are most likely going to consider for our music video.

This is the video for the Plain White T's song 'Hey there Delilah'. The use of three different camera shots throughout the sequence is unique and shows the story being portrayed really well. They use a variation of effects in each shot, some in black and white and others using saturation and filters. By using all these things it keeps people entertained and is an eye catching video.

This video for Arcade Fire- Ready to Start, is a music video shot at a live gig. This could be an interesting way of filming, as you can show how the crowd reacts to the song and shows what sort of crowd (target audience) they would attract. This video is also shot in black and white, with a high contrast. However shooting inside a dark music venure could proove tricky as lighting would be poor for the low budget cameras we will be using.
All these songs are acoustic which is the genre we're looking for, this is why we have put the videos on our blog so we can use them for ideas and techniques.
