Matthew McConaughey has already directed two short films; now he’s moved on to music videos.
After meeting country artist Jamey Johnson backstage at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2009, the two became fast friends. So naturally, when Johnson asked McConaughey to cameo on the music video for “Playing the Part,” the lead single off Johnson’s 25-track double album “The Guitar Song,” the actor did his musicians friend one better: he decided to direct the video himself.
